The valley had its first snow for 20 years and it all looked magical. Will try to get some images to add shortly. We had an exceptionally cold few days in January with temperatures down to -10C and all the gardens in the area have suffered. None of the succulents, echiums or aeoniums will be there to wave at you as you arrive at Briar Cottage this summer BUT the daffodils are already out and telling us that spring cannot be far away.
